FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does your company charge for an initial consultation?

We offer an initial consultation at no charge.  We will meet with you so we can discuss what your business needs from our company. This usually takes no more than an hour. We will ask questions to determine what work is needed in order to maximize your desired outcome. We always carefully factor in the needs for your company.

What is the difference between a Bookkeeper and an Accountant/CPA?

A Bookkeeper is someone who records, organizes and manages the day-to-day financial transactions and pertinent information pertaining to a business.  Bookkeepers ensure that the financial transactions are accurate, up-to-date and comprehensive. They also work with an accountant either monthly or yearly to make sure that they have what they need for yearly taxes for the business.

An Accountant/CPA is someone who has passed the uniform Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Examination and who has received state certification to practice accounting.  In addition to accounting, CPAs perform audits, give tax advice, and prepare tax returns for individuals and corporations.

Many individuals mistakenly consider bookkeeping and accounting to be the same thing. This confusion is understandable because the accounting process includes bookkeeping. Please understand that bookkeeping is just one part of the accounting process.

Does your company offer yearly tax services?

We are not Certified Public Accountants and do not offer or give advice on income tax preparation.

However, as bookkeepers, we will work together with your accountant in order to provide a quality service for your company at a competitive price. We want to make sure that our business relationship is successful and that everything is ready for your CPA.  Your satisfaction and ease of mind is our desired outcome.

How much do you charge?

The fees that we charge are dependent on how involved we are going to be with your company. If we have the opportunity to work for you, we will offer you a fixed price for the services that we will provide, all while taking into consideration the needs of your company. Our offer will likely include organizing your records, recording daily transactions, payroll, monthly and quarterly taxes associated with sales tax and having employees, financial statements, receipt management, and including providing other services and support to grow your company all while striving for compliance with the utmost efficiency.

Generally, the average small company that has approximately $300,000 in annual revenue and around 5 to 7 employees, would pay our firm an estimated cost of $300 to $2,500 a month for our bookkeeping services.  The bookkeeping services that would be provided take into consideration the size of your company, number of employees, your well-defined expectations, industry, the daily transactions, your current accounting system, and much more.

We provide flat fees for our services. We know how important it is to know every cost associated with running a business.  We want you to be comfortable in knowing that we will take every consideration with your best interest, when we give you our prices for the quality services we provide.

We want to keep bookkeeping in house. Do you provide training?

Sometimes, companies want to keep the bookkeeping services in house. We are comfortable with this option, if you would like us to provide short-term training, sometimes it seems to be a better fit. We can provide you with a flat fee, once we have met and determined what your well-defined needs are. We want the best for you and your company.
